SAE Efficycle '24

Efficycle is a vehicle powered both by manual pedalling and by a battery. It can be pedalled without battery backup, and charges while being pedalled, which makes it less labour-intensive than a conventional bicycle and cheaper to run than an electric one.

Its tadpole configuration — two front wheels, one rear — gives it noticeably better stability on mountain terrain than the usual delta layout.
