About the council

A body of students, advised by faculty

The Science and Technology Council is the technical society of IIT Mandi— programming, bioengineering, automotive engineering, robotics, astronomy, mechanics, civil engineering and entrepreneurship.

Every club supports open participation. You can join at any point in the year, you do not need prior experience, and members represent the institute at national competitions.

  • Formula Bharat — Raptor Racing

    A Formula E race car designed, fabricated and campaigned by 27 students at Formula Bharat 2026.

  • IN-SPACe CANSAT

    A 1 kg can-sized satellite built for launch to 1000 metres, for the ISRO-backed student competition.

  • Team Deimos — Mars Rover

    A rover built to cross uneven terrain and manipulate objects, for the University Rover Challenge.
