Wall Climber Robot

A robotic system that navigates vertical surfaces and ceilings, using vacuum technology and suction cups to hold onto a range of materials.

The primary use is inspection and maintenance of industrial facilities and infrastructure — tanks, bridges, high-rise buildings. In construction it assists with facade inspection, painting, and cleaning. It also has surveillance and search-and-rescue applications.

The point of all of it is reaching places that are difficult or outright hazardous for a person to reach.
